Stage 3Activity 3 (of 5)

Consider data collection and sharing regulations and standards

If your evaluation requires collecting data on people, you must consider how you will collect, store and share this personal data to ensure your initiative adheres to all data protection regulations.

Step 1

Work out what your data collection needs and ethical considerations are to make sure you are compliant with current legal standards. Consult local information governance resources for support and seek advice from colleagues in your organisation to understand any local requirements.

Step 2

It is important to assess the potential impact of your initiative on diverse community groups, all while promoting fairness and inclusivity.

Step 3

Integrate your EQIA and data governance findings into your evaluation planning. This will demonstrate that you have met all data governance and equality standards required.
