Stage 4Activity 3 (of 4)
Step 1
Ensure all stakeholders review your evaluation findings thoroughly and in the right forum. This should involve discussing the results and understanding their implications so informed decisions can be made moving forwards.
Step 2
Ensure adequate monitoring and feedback processes are in place to continually assess the ongoing effectiveness and sustainability of your initiative. Use your initial evaluation report as a baseline and continue to monitor these metrics over time. Alternatively, you can select a smaller set of core metrics – including impact and performance – to monitor on a rolling basis.
- Use the Better Evaluation report and support use of findings guidance to guide your reporting strategy. This resource outlines the key considerations for ensuring your findings are used effectively in any decision-making.
Step 3
Consider establishing a Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle to continually review and take action on any findings from your monitoring activities.
- See pages 19-24 of the Measurement for Improvement guide for an example of how to set up a PDSA process.
