Annual Evaluation Workshop Series

Provided by NW London Applied Research Collaboration

When: March to November 2025

A comprehensive four-part series that cover how to plan for, conduct, and effectively report and communicate the results of evaluations of healthcare innovations.

Who should attend: Anyone involved in evaluation, quality improvement, or research projects – including health professionals, project/programme managers, improvement managers, researchers, and students.

Using Data for Healthcare Improvement

Provided by Imperial College London

Format: 15 hours online with flexible schedule

Learn about measuring quality of care and health outcomes to determine whether Quality Improvement initiatives have achieved their aims. The course covers how to use both quantitative and qualitative data to identify areas for improvement and evaluate change, including specific methods for improvement versus research and how to design measurement schemes for improvement initiatives.

ICB Population Health Management & Health Equity Academy

Provided by NHS North West London ICB

When: September to January 2026

The ICB’s Academy offers free training across four key learning domains for all NW London ICS staff, focusing on population health management, community partnership, evidence-based practice, and data analytics.

Who should attend: All NW London ICS staff, with specific programmes tailored for commissioners, providers, frontline staff, and those working directly with communities

  • Foundation training in Health Economics & Value-based Care – Practical economic evaluation (Cohort 5 – 14 & 21 Nov)
  • Business Case Masterclass – Advanced decision-making (Masterclass 4 – 9 Oct; Masterclass 5 – 5 Dec)
  • Practical approaches to research – Secondary research workshops (Cohort 1 – 11 Sept; Cohort 2 – 16 Oct; Cohort 3 – 13 Nov; Cohort 4 11 Dec)
